HB 1426: Long acting reversible contraceptives

HB 1426 was originally introduced to make IUDs available for postpartum patients receiving Medicaid, a great step toward improving health outcomes! But then extremist anti-choice advocates - pushing misinformation and propaganda - falsely claimed that IUDs could cause abortions. This is patently untrue. Yet some legislators fell for their lies, and removed IUDs from 1426, replacing them with subdermal implants, like Nexplanon. Please contact the Senate Appropriations committee and urge them to bring IUD coverage back to HB 1426.
